Dear Seven Ponds Holidays Auction Supporter,
Our 27th annual Holiday Auction and Christmas Party was an overwhelming success. Over 150 friends of the nature center came together this year for good fun, great food and drink, and a chance to take home some unique and outstanding auction items. By the time the dust settled, the expenses accounted for, and the nature center had been rearranged to look like a nature center again, we had raised nearly $22,000 – our best Holiday Auction Ever!
Many people were involved in the planning and execution of this event, and we certainly appreciate the efforts of all. To those who donated items or experiences, to those who were involved in the planning, to those who helped set up and decorate, to those who volunteered that evening, to those who brought in food or beverages, to those who attended, to those who made a donation at the front desk, to those who purchased raffle tickets, to those who bid on items – we thank each and every one of you. Special thanks goes to Greg Rowden of Rowley’s Auction Service for providing his services as auctioneer free of charge.
Our Holiday Auction fund helps support a variety of activities at Seven Ponds, including school field trips, Traveling Naturalist programs, summer day camps, family programs, special events, bird house monitoring, native plantings, and invasive species control. Thank you for supporting this important work through our annual auction, and with additional generous support that you provide during the year.

Referring to the Seven Ponds Nature Center Holiday Auction December 3, 2016
Thanks for helping with our fundraising auction at Seven Ponds again this year. We had about 200 people at the event, the most we have ever had. After 25 years, the Holiday Auction is more popular than ever. Most importantly, everything went smoothly at this year’s auction and everyone had a great time. We also did very well financially. Between the voice auction, silent auction, raffles, and donations, we raised just over $18,000. This is a little less than last year, but still one of our best totals. Everyone worked hard in the weeks leading up to the auction and it paid off.
We really appreciate all of your help in making the Holiday Auction such a successful event again this year. You do such a nice job of making the auction entertaining and bringing out the best in the bidding. The Seven Ponds family enjoys getting together for this event and having some fun. You never disappoint them. I know that the chance to hear you conduct the voice auction portion of the evening is a big part of the attractioon for the many regular participants. I am amazed that each year you are able to come up with fresh one-liners to entertain the crowd.
